Celebrate in Red, White, and Blue with Us
This year, we are proud to focus our national charity efforts in partnership with the Original Sewing and Quilt Expo. We are excited to share that we are the 2026 Sewing for a Cause fabric sponsors.
At each event, you will have the opportunity to sew with purpose by creating quilt blocks for Quilts of Valor and backpacks for local food pantries. It is a meaningful way to give back while doing what we love, and participation in the Sewing for a Cause booth is always free!

Up on the design wall is the beautiful Old Lace pattern, also known as the Monkey Wrench block. Our friends at the Original Sewing and Quilting Expo generously shared this pattern with us, and we are thrilled to pass it along to you.
Be sure to check out the version Mister Larry is working on using our Gelato fabrics. You can find his progress on Instagram. When you start your own project, tag us so we can see what you make.
We also created a patriotic version of our free Shadow Stars quilt using Shadow Play fabrics. This traditionally pieced 60 x 75 inch quilt features six fabrics plus the background fabric from the Shadow Play collection. Download your free pattern and follow along with the block video tutorial.
For the perfect finishing touch, consider backing your quilt with one of our Colorfield 108" quilt back fabrics in red, white, and blue. These wide backs are ideal for patriotic quilts and a great way to celebrate the 250th birthday of America.

We will be in person at the Dallas Original Sewing and Quilt Expo this summer. We hope to see you there at the Sewing for a Cause booth or in one of our classes and lectures. We will share more details soon.
