Maywood Maker Colorblock Party R.S.V.P.

We hosted a Colorblock Party and invited our Maywood Maker team to RSVP with a mini quilt. Each maker received a unique bundle of curated fabrics from the Colorblock Party fabric collection, along with coordinating Kimberbell Solids and a background fabric. Using those fabrics as a starting point, they explored color, scale, and texture to create a mini quilt that reflects their own creative vision.

Their colorful creations will be on display this weekend at the Volunteer Check-In Booth at the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show. This is our fifth year supporting the incredible volunteers who make the show possible, from months of planning through event day.

Last week we shared the mini quilts during a presentation to the East of the Cascades Quilt Guild, whose members are key volunteers throughout the year and on show day. The meeting was originally planned to be outdoors, but a rainy afternoon had everyone gathering inside the Stitchin' Post instead. It turned out to be the perfect setting. You can even spot Valori Wells painting in the background while Michelle presents the mini quilts.
