Our Latest Collections Part 2

In our first posts about our new  Maywood Studio collections for spring we focused on the Willoughby fabrics and projects and we also introduced you to our new designer Lydia Johnson. Now let's dive into three more new collections, Nature Studies, Colorfield Jewel Tones, and Wild Side. These collections happen to coordinate well together as well as stand on their own. Look how well they all worked together when we set them up for photography in our content studio!

Geranium pattern by Made by Rae

Let's zoom in and look at these samples up close. The darling dresses pictured above are sewn using the Geranium pattern by Made by Rae. These are a favorite for us here at Maywood Studio: they are quick to sew up and look fantastic in so many fabrics! We used a floral from the Nature Studies collection, the jungle print from Wild Side, and the light multi color design from Colorfield.

On the wall is our  Falling Star Quilt made with the new Colorfield jewel tones. This is one of the new free patterns we are offering with our Spring collections. We also made the Falling Star Quilt with the Nature Studies fabrics for a different look. We shared both of these quilts on our Instagram feed. Did you see them there? The quilt on the carpet is the Hypnotized Quilt by Villa Rosa Designs. We framed the floral fabric from Nature Studies with the new jewel-toned teal and green from Colorfield for a dramatic look. Check out the project for an second option illustrated with green and yellow.

If you are wondering about the quilt on the ladder above, that is the  Elsie May Quilt, also by Villa Rosa Designs, made with our Wild Side fabrics. This bargello-inspired look shows the beautiful color gradation the teals and oranges make. We often make Villa Rosa quilts with our new collections: they are so clever and easy to sew. You can find their patterns at your local quilt shop or where ever you buy your quilting and sewing supplies. While we are on the subject of Wild Side, here are some more projects to get your creative juices flowing.

Are you a bag maker? The  Pack It In 2.0 from ByAnnie is a fantastic project with so many different uses! We made one each of the small, medium, and large sizes with the new Wild Side fabrics. You can really personalize this by mixing and matching your favorite fabrics and sizes. And how could we resist coloring up the darling Folk Blooms Quilt by Pen and Paper Patterns in the Wild Side collection. This shows how versatile that collection can be. Discover more project inspiration and see all the fabrics in these collections on our website. We can't wait to see what you make!
