Let’s make a Playtime Flannel Quilt!

And here is some exciting news - we have partnered with Laura Coia of Sew Very Easy to make an easy to follow Playtime Quilt video tutorial that walks you through how to make a Playtime Quilt of your own! Keep reading to find out more.

To begin, you will need fabric from the  Playtime Flannel collection. This collection includes fun bright prints made with our softest two-ply cotton flannel. You can choose to buy a kit that includes precut and pre-fused pieces for the cars, as well as all the fabric you need for the quilt top and binding. The kit also includes a full-color pattern with detailed, full-color instructions and templates for the appliqué. Alternatively, you can download the Playtime Quilt Pattern for free from our website.

To get started, you will need the following Playtime Flannel fabrics:

- 18 precut 10” squares *refer to the patten for the details.

- 1/4 yard of each of the black fabrics for the roads.

- 5/8 yard for the gray borders.

- 1-1/4 yard for the backing.

– 3/8 yard for the binding.

After gathering all the materials, you can follow the step-by-step Playtime Quilt video tutorial by Laura Coia of Sew Very Easy. The tutorial is free, beginner-friendly, and will guide you through each step of the project. She will demonstrate how to sew curves with confidence, prepare the appliqué to make the two car blocks, and adding the borders after you assemble the quilt top.
