Get Started on New Spring Projects
It's always a good time to start thinking about your next creative project. We have been working hard during the winter months to design new fabric collections as well as create new projects that feature those collections. Here are some ideas that should give you some inspiration for your next sewing endeavor.
We pay close attention to details when creating our projects. For example, the Flowers by the Sea quilt by Quilted Garden Designs features a festive, scalloped border. Another project that we really like is the Courtside Tote from ByAnnie. It's a versatile bag that has a special zip pocket on the front to hold tennis or pickleball rackets. Both of these projects showcase our new Seascape collection fabrics.
We offer a free pattern for each of our collections, like the Windflower quilt (above), which we design here at Maywood Studio. You can find the instructions for these patterns in the "Get Started" section for each project as soon as the collection is available in quilt shops. If the pattern isn't available yet, we include a PDF that includes the fabrics and yardage estimates, which we call a "project page". Keep an eye out for our email announcing that the instructions are available and for the pattern cover to appear on our website. The Instructions for the Windflower Quilt will be posted in June.
In fact, we make project pages for every project on our website, which we post when we announce our latest collections. These pages are assembled into a seasonal lookbook, and you can find our past projects in our project archives.
