Celebrate National Quilting Month with Cottage Flowers by Susie Hetherington
We’re anticipating the arrival of Cottage Flowers, a fabric collection by Susie Hetherington that celebrates nature through her hand-carved designs. Inspired by traditional linoleum printing and the Arts and Crafts movement, Susie’s work captures the delicate textures of flowers, leaves, and scenery.
The Fox Hollow Quilt by It’s Sew Emma (above) is a perfect project to showcase the vibrant patterns from Cottage Flowers. It’s fat quarter-friendly and a fun way to bring the collection to life! Preorder Cottage Flowers now—shipping to shops in early April.
Susie Hetherington is a printmaker and pattern designer with a deep love for nature. After starting in graphic design, she returned to handcraft techniques, encouraging others to embrace creativity. Her work, influenced by the Arts and Crafts movement, celebrates the beauty of flowers, leaves, and landscapes.
Susie lives in Gloucestershire, UK, with her family and dog, Maud. We’re excited to share that Susie’s Cottage Flowers collection brings her long-designed quilt, originally created for her toddler daughter, to life using fabrics she designed herself. The Cottage Flowers Quilt Pattern will be posted on our website to view and download for free when the collection ships to shops this April.
